Like Hermit Crabs

I went to the quiet place and, while seeking guidance, was shown an image of a place from my teen years. I had the feeling that someone in the Asatru community would find the information useful and that I was to write about it. It's all about housing and community.

In my teen years, I lived in Arkansas. There was a group of people who lived on land a few miles away. The locals called these people Gypsies, but I was never sure of who they really were. When I first noticed them, they all lived in campers except for one family that had a mobile home.

Yule 2015

I prepare my pork roast with rosemary, honey, and leeks. I'll also prepare a side with apples and walnuts. With a few other dishes, I prepare to celebrate Yule. These old-styled foods are a great way to celebrate That Which Has Passed and looking forward to That Which Will Come to Be. It is Yule.

Online Kindred

A solitary practitioner contacted me to ask whether it is possible to have an online kindred. That is a good question. Though there answer is yes, there are some differences between an online community and one made up of people you know in person.

Heathen Town Welcomes You

Road Sign says: Heathen Town Welcomes You

I went to the quiet place and there sat in commune with the silence. The image delivered to me showed a small city. There were homes, green spaces, schools, and businesses. The roads leading into the city carried the same sign: Heathen Town Welcomes You!

Some heathens decided to go to a particular small suburb of a city that wasn't too large. Poorly developed, the suburb's property prices were low. As a suburb, it had access to jobs in the attached city. With these conditions, and the spread of the plan, Asatruar from far away converged there.

Frey Station

I went to the quiet place and there sat in commune with the silence. The image came to mind of the dark expanse of space. A metal wall came into view and the Runes on it said "Frey Station".

The wall was part of a large, hexagonal structure. Wide, metal tubes connected this part to many other hexagons. They formed a three-wide line of honeycomb that stretched into space. They curved so that each had a face directed at the sun.
